Program Design & Evaluation (Outcome Research)

We can help with your program design and evaluation needs whether you have an idea for a new program, want to change or grow an existing program, or are facing difficulties with a well established program. As external, independent, objective individuals in the process, we can help you make sound decisions. We are experienced in designing protocols that can help turn around troubled programs.

For new or expanding programs: We can help implement an evaluation protocol for any size program by locating or designing evaluation tools and tracking mechanisms that your clients, staff and management teams can use that will meet your board’s and funders’ requirements.

For existing programs: We can review existing program evaluation tools, data collection procedures, and program outcomes in order to make recommendations to modify and thus enhance data collection protocols to allow program to focus on more quantitative outcomes.

We can review a grant and make recommendations for the creation and implementation of any required evaluation protocol.

We can also provide technical assistance by periodically monitoring the ongoing data collection to ensure success. Ultimately we would provide the program with a comprehensive evaluation of the collected data in the form of a detailed outcome report with graphs.

We can review and evaluate an existing data set and provide you with a comprehensive evaluation of the collected data including tables and graphs as well as an executive summary.

We are also capable of quickly constructing, implementing, and evaluating electronic surveys or feasibility studies. When completed, we provide you with a comprehensive evaluation of the collected data including tables and graphs.

What we have seen is that most programs do a fairly good job at collecting some data and reporting basic numbers to oversight agencies. They often fail to optimize the research potential of that data either by not asking the right questions or not evaluating the data the right way.

Start Or Incorporate A Nonprofit

Do you have an idea or are you already running a program that you would like to incorporate as a 501©3 non-profit?

In setting up your 501©3 nonprofit, It takes us just a few weeks to get everything in order for you and in the mail to state and federal offices. The State status will come back first. The federal ruling is averaging 6 to 9 months at this time.

We can facilitate most of this over the phone and via email. One of our consultants will meet with you briefly before you drop all the materials in the mail.

Our fee covers everything you need to incorporate at the State & Federal level. The 7 deliverables are:

1. State Incorporation paperwork

2. Conversion from corporation to Public Charity

3. Secretary of State Filing

4. Attorney General Filing

5. Federal application for 501©3 status

6. Creation of Articles of Incorporation

7. Creation of Bylaws

Our fee does NOT include the required governmental application fees (currently $600 to IRS & $25 to CA Franchise Tax Board) are due at the time of mailing made out to them not us. They are sent to the IRS & the State along with the package of legal documents we created for you.

Should you decide to move forward with us handling the nonprofit incorporation, this is what we would need to get started:

1. Our signed contract and payment of the fee

2. Name & Address of your new Charity

3. Full Name & SS# of the CEO

4. A paragraph describing the History & Mission. Who do you plan to serve & how? Have you started serving them, and if so, estimated month and year when you started providing service.

After two weeks, we will need a few names, preferably as follows:

1. Chair

2. Secretary

3. Treasurer

4. Member

5. Member

Full names & addresses. Five names seem to be very attractive to reviewing officers at State & Fed right now for some reason.

Funding Searches

Do you have an idea for a new program that you want to see if someone else might fund? Maybe you have an established program that could use more resources. We can conduct a possible funding source survey and provide you with a list of solid possibilities for sources of potential funding that you might be able to go after.

Coaching

We can provide independent, objective, confidential coaching to individual employees or small staff teams. Coaching is a deliberate process utilizing focused conversations to create an environment for individual growth, purposeful action, and sustained improvement. It is designed to help people focus on what they need to do more and less of to achieve their goals.

In addition, coaching is a one-to-one process and a relationship between an individual and a coach, either in person or via telephone, with specific objectives and goals focused on developing potential, improving relationships, and enhancing performance. Coaching uses a formal yet personalized approach that integrates proven techniques for change with behavioral knowledge and hands-on practice. Coaching breaks down barriers to help achieve greater levels of accomplishment. It is a process of self-leadership that enables people to gain clarity about who they are, what they are doing, why they are doing it, and where they want to go.

Technical Assistance

We can provide independent, objective technical assistance to your existing staff & management teams as well as your Board of Directors on projects already under way or for your design and grant writing teams for programs you would like to start. This might consist of meeting with staff and management to review protocols and data to insure benchmarks are met or joining a brainstorming session. We are always happy to help programs make connections in the OC community that facilitate program and services growth.

Grant Writing

If you have found a grant that you want to apply for and you believe your organization is ready to be competitive in the process, we can assist you in writing the grant proposal. We have written complex, multi-site State grants, small CDBG grants, and just about everything in between. Your preparation for the grant writing process, and the amount of time before the due date are critical factors so call us and let’s discuss your situation. Chances are that if we cannot meet your needs, we know someone who can.

Dissolving A Non-Profit

Do you have a non-profit program that you need to close down?

There is a process that must be legally followed in order to do this correctly. We would be happy to provide this service for you. We can facilitate most of this over the phone and via email. One of our consultants will meet with you briefly before the process is finished.

Our fee covers everything you need to dissolve a non-profit. The 4 deliverables are:

1. Review Final financials

2. Prepare Final Tax Returns

3. Choose which 501c3 will receive the remaining assets of the organization

4. Resolution to Wind Up and Dissolve

Website Design & Update Services

An effective online presence helps you market your services, attract clients and share information. We can help you create or update your website in the following ways:

Presentations, Trainings, Workshops & Retreats

We can help you meet your program training needs by providing you with a variety of trainings, workshops, and/or retreats. You can choose a partial day, daylong or multi-day program. We also offer more in depth individual and group coaching services as well.
